CloseOnce a preacher said that the opposite of faith is not doubt, but fear. One day as Jesus and the disciples were crossing the Sea of Galilee a huge storm arose that threatened to swamp their boat. They are terrified, which is only natural in these circumstances. Not only that, but Jesus is asleep in the boat as if everything was ok. That’s because everything was ok. Awakened by their panic Jesus simply says a word of rebuke to the storm and all is calm. Then Jesus asked them, “Where is your faith?” Jesus is in the same boat with us in life’s troubles. He’s completely calm, at rest, unworried. There is nothing He cannot handle. All he asks is that we trust Him.
