CloseThere’s a big difference between true joy and happiness. Happiness happens to be fickle, temporary, and dependent on positive circumstances. It is elusive, that’s why we try to pursue it. Joy does not depend on circumstance. Joy is the presence of God and does not depend on pleasant circumstance. Happiness is the absence of painful and troubling circumstances. Joy is the presence of God in all circumstances. Authentic joy is a constant. It is not something we produce nor is it something dependent on circumstance. Want more joy in your life? Then go to the source. God is the exclusive source and it can be experienced in all circumstances. Don’t let the downside dominate!
