CloseHave you ever wondered what your world would be like if certain things had never happened? Things like the invention of the light bulb, the printing press and automobile. What if the American Revolution had never happened? Top of our list would be the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. What if that had never happened and somewhere the remains of Jesus were still in a grave. What if He died and never bodily rose again? The obvious answer is given by St. Paul (1 Corinthians 15:17, “If Christ has not been raised than your faith is futile, and you are still in your sins.”) With the basis of forgiveness gone, our lives here and eternally would be only misery. We would have to live without any basis for hope. Expectation of heaven would be trashed with Jesus still in the grave. Meaning in life? Hopeless, purposeless.
