CloseLife can get totally busy. The calendar can be crowded. All of that can bring more stress and less joy and fulfillment. Then it’s so easy to just go through the motions, trying to get it all in. Life gets stuffed, but life may not be lived very intentionally or with enthusiastic passion and fire. There’s an event in the Old Testament where one man’s passion for God led to many thousands turning their hearts and lives away from idols to the true God. Fire both literally and figuratively fell from heaven. His name? Elijah. He not only spoke for God, he lived for God. And the fire was not just on the altar of sacrifice, the fire was in his belly. In case you’ve let your passion for life in Christ grow cold, get fired up and learn to live passionately for things that really matter.
