CloseIt’s so easy to get stuck in our lives somewhere and lose our passion for things that are important. Things we once spent lots of time, energy and expense on no longer seem to be that interesting or important. More to the point, does your spiritual passion ever cool off? Saint Paul reminds the Roman Christians, “Never be lacking in zeal.” (Romans 12:11 NIV) Other translations render the same thing differently, like “Never be lazy… serve the Lord enthusiastically.” (NLT) The answer is more than just shaming ourselves into trying harder to be better Christians/ The answer is in Jesus himself, who sends the Holy Spirit with divine energy that is enough to transform countless lives. He gives grace for people to become willing, never-quitting servants of His mission. He brings people to be fully-devoted followers of Jesus.
