CloseThere was a special red “fire” that fell on the disciples. They had been promised the Holy Spirit and they remained in faithful prayer until that promise was fulfilled. The very presence, person and power of God Himself was resting on them and living in them. That power enabled them to bring the news of the risen and living Jesus to countless souls and it transformed their way of life. The difference in their lives was not only discernable, it was obvious. It was a transforming power for those early followers of Jesus. The great news is that this gift is meant for everyone in God’s Church for all time. But it’s easy to settle for far less.
