CloseSolomon gets off to a great start and has a heart for God. His reign is peaceful and never under attack by enemies. And, he is the great Temple Builder. Yet, somewhere along the line he allows corruption, evil, and idolatry. He has set in motion a trend that will accelerate in the next king and will ultimately result in the destruction of the beautiful temple and a humiliating defeat and death of a nation. Yet in all of this God remains faithful and is not deterred from his plan to bring the Greater Son of David, Jesus, into our world to being us salvation.
