CloseFor many centuries Christians have chosen Holy Week as a time to focus attention on the final events of the week leading up to the crucifixion, death and burial of Jesus. Embedded in this are the core events necessary for Jesus to fulfill the plan in the heart and mind of the Holy Trinity, the plan that saves the world from the wages of sin and the resulting wrath of God. We observe Palm Sunday and in some small way experience the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem. We’ll hear the reading of the event from Scripture and do a kids’ parade with palms, singing Hosannas. Then we transition to a more quiet and solemn time and join others beneath the Cross. There we observe the Passion of Jesus and hear His seven cries as he suffered to save us. “It is Finished!”
Scripture References: Matthew 21:1-11
