ClosePeople have always been interested in stars. God uses the vision of their multitudes to illustrate for Abraham the promise of his descendants when he was yet childless. Imbedded in this picture was the promise of the coming Messiah-Savior, Jesus. A star pointed the way for the Magi to find Jesus in Bethlehem and come and worship him. Finally, Jesus refers to himself as the bright Morning Star (Revelation 22:16). May our faith find us joyfully dancing with the stars as we contemplate the coming of the Christ, the light shining in a dark world bringing the gift of hope.
