CloseIn some religious circles the word "Saint" technically means a person we are sure is in heaven. In a popular sense, a saint is someone self-righteous, prudish and sanctimonious. Biblically, saints are people who are declared “holy” by the grace of God. They do not have righteousness of their own that gives them the right to be in the presence of a Holy God and be saved and get to heaven. Biblically, saints are not perfect. Just forgiven. This is all received by faith, not achieved by good behavior. At the same time people are saints, they are sinners. The saint is a sinner. Both at the same time. In Christ Jesus you are a saint! Regardless of prior performance.
