CloseLearning requires humility, an admission that we don’t know everything. Learning is not limited to formal classrooms. Kids can learn a lot through sports. The truth is that they learn as much through games lost as through games won. Loss do not need to humiliate, but they can humble, because “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5. Instead of trying to anesthetize ourselves from the pains of life, we should be open to what God may be teaching us in those situations. The first thing it should teach us is to run to God and find our peace and strength in Him. When we seek God’s help through His Word, we will not be disappointed.
