CloseWhen you give your word, will you keep it? Not only does our world expect faithfulness, God expects it as well. Smyrna was one of the seven churches Jesus addressed in a letter. Jesus acknowledged that the Christians in Smyrna faced persecution, poverty and slander so severe that He even calls their opponents a “Synagogue of Satan.” Nevertheless, they are exhorted to be faithful no matter what. But the outcome of the faithfulness is the experience of God’s faithfulness to His Word. They will receive a crown of life. The message pertains not only to first century Christians, but to 21st Century Christians as well. God is faithful.
