CloseThe coming of the promised Messiah into the world is referred to in the Bible as a GIFT, God’s greatest gift to humankind. Without this gift we would be eternally lost. It provides something for us we cannot earn, deserve, or provide for ourselves. To be saved eternally from sin and to enjoy the eternal presence of God is nothing less than the most precious gift ever given. This year as we experience Advent and Christmas in a most unusual manner, may our attention not be distracted from that gift. We may even have more time to think, meditate, read Scripture, and prepare our hearts to receive the gift as never before.
Scripture References: John 1:1-3, John 1:14
