Easter 2021 is now history. This year was quite different from Easter 2020 when we only had services online. Even though in so many ways it did not feel like Easter, it was anyway. And it still is Easter, every day, because the resurrection of Jesus was not temporary, it is forever. Each day is meant to be filled with the effects of Easter. Hope, joy, peace, forgiveness, encouragement… everything positive you can think of. And, it does not end there. It finds its culmination in heaven and our own experience of resurrection from the dead. On the Road to Emmaus (Luke 24) on the first Easter Day, there were two very disappointed and despondent disciples of Jesus. They assumed Jesus was still dead and would stay dead. Imagine their joy when the living, resurrected Jesus encounters them! Life has purpose and hope again. Every life that has the presence of Jesus is a life of victory that overcomes fear, discouragement and despair.
