Royal Burnout
“Burnout” can happen to any one of us if we push things too hard for too long. We are finite creatures. The Law of Entropy says that everything is in a state of slowing down, decay, “burning out.” On the other hand, when sufficient new energy is introduced, the system continues to function and even flourish.That’s analogous to our spiritual life. Sin exhausts and depletes. Our finite selves can burn out. Grace from God reignites, refreshes, renews.
