Easter: Man Alive!
Just think of how blessed we are that the story did not end with that fatal Friday. The cross is the full payment made for the load of sin. The sacrifice was enough to pay for the sin-load of all people of all the world of all time. The resurrection is the receipt. It tells us, “Paid in full.” St. Paul wrote a letter to the church at Corinth about that. “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.” Easter is your “proof of purchase” The next time you feel under condemnation, feel like a failure, feel hopeless, just look at Easter, the receipt that a beautiful eternal future has been purchased for you. The cross is the payment. Easter is your receipt.
